I’m not afraid of plastic, but I bought this kettle because the cheap plastic one I had prior only made it a year. I was hoping for something ultra-durable and this seems to fit the bill. (The one maybe-exception: the on/off switch. That seems like the only potential weak point.)
I’d take a star off for the pour spout (as pouring quickly causes water to awkwardly shoot out of the seal above the spout) but that’s mostly a “me problem” because I’m impatient.
I’m posting this review to provide a picture of the spout and lid – people are asking about scary plastic, so I thought it’d help to have a better view of the stainless lid.

All stainless steel. No plastic parts inside. double walled so it is not hot to the touch when fully boiled. Has a strong substantial, balanced, and solid feel to it. Yet, it is nearly half the price of other brands! Had another much more expensive kettle and it had none of the above features and stopped working after a short while. If I could have any improvement on this OUUO kettle, it would be a little bell ding when it was done boiling… but why ask for the moon, when I have the stars? Highly recommended.

I love this OUUO kettle! People may think why do you need an electric kettle if I have a stove and a microwave that I can heat up water with. You don’t realize till you start using one how much you really will use this kettle and how useful it is. First off the interior is all stainless steel with no plastic, and stays cool to the touch on the outside even when the liquid inside is boiling which I really like. It has a large almost 2 quart size capacity so it will handle a good amount of water. It also comes to a boil much faster than using the stove or microwave making it speed up the process of boiling your water and the insulated design keeps it hotter much longer than a pot on the stove or the microwave. This is great of course for things like making tea but there are many more uses as well. I have used this to boil water for making gelatin desserts, warming up water for baking in a water bath for things like crème brulee and cheesecake or making bread where you want good temperature control. The one thing I have found this is the BEST for is making risotto. If you have ever made it you know you either have to heat broth up in the microwave or keep a pot on the stovetop which can cause evaporation and inaccurate measurements. I use this to heat up the broth. This way with each fresh addition it is a consistent temperature which means faster absorption and control of the temperature when making new additions of liquid which will give a better product consistency. With it having a pour spout it makes it even easier and less risk of spilling or boil overs. I end up with the perfect risotto each time using this kettle. It is easy to clean up and store and you will be surprised how much this will come in handy in your kitchen.

Pros:
-The OUUO kettle Heats water quickly. Love the stainless steel inside and out.
-It’s well insulated so although the top gets pretty warm, the sides are safe to touch. No burnt knuckles.
Cons:
-First time I used it, I had to manually shut it off. It didn’t automatically shut off. Good thing I babysat it the first time.
-The base doesn’t seem new. It has abrasion marks that I doubt are left from just packaging it. Also, the kettle doesn’t sit flat on the base. It has a surprising amount of wobble to it.
-I didn’t realize how ugly the on/off button the back was. Not nice and discreet. It sticks out over an inch and detracts from the nice stainless steel form.
-After 3 uses, the outer wall of the kettle dented on the edge of my sink. I didn’t bang it against the sink, just leaned it against it while cleaning.
Update: I am giving it 5 stars because the customer service was amazing. Yes, I had issues with the kettle but the company was quick to reach out to me and find a solution.

I ordered two different water pots at the same time. This one is plug in and the other was stove top. This item worked perfectly. It heats up the water very fast. Be sure to follow the guideline about not over filling it (there is a line inside that shows the correct fill height) or you get water on the counter. It heats so quickly that I am really pleased. You get about four or five regular cups of hot water out of one pot fill up. The water is very hot when it pours but cools off quick enough for drinking right away. I especially like the easy on and off button on the base of the pot, and the auto turn off if you forget it’s on. I actually think the price was pretty cheap for the quality of the product.

Works wonderfully! It has made my life so much easier since my family enjoys tea coffee and cocoa on a daily basis. I was hesitant to purchase it as I didn’t think it was an absolute necessity, but I am so glad I did. It stays on my counter so it had to look nice, and it does. It fits in well with my stainless steel french press and other stainless steel appliances. Only takes a few minutes to boil and stays hot for at least 15 minutes. It works well for convenience foods where boiled water is needed, like noodles. I also use it as I am doing dishes so that I can dump boiling water down the disposal with baking soda for a quick and easy cleaning. If you use boiling water multiple times a day, I would recommend this.

Bought this electric kettle to replace an older one which served me well for many years till the lid opener broke. So fare this has been a great replacement and have had no complaints. It takes a minute or two longer than my older kettle to boil the water as its only a 1100 watts kettle and was a good deal for the price. Have been using it for a few months now with no issues.

No plastic parts touch water. Really nice inside. Bought to replace a 3 months old kettle from Amazon that started to rust on inside seam!
This kettle is better balanced, slightly louder, but I really like the all stainless interior. I bought an extended warranty after my last kettle failed in e months.

Turns out, it really helps to have an electric teapot once you have kids! We’d always used a stovetop, whistling kettle, but ever since our son was born, it gets harder and harder to get to the whistling kettle on time. My husband was ALWAYS having to grab my teapot while I was busy with our son. Now, if we’re busy, it’s no problem! This teapot doesn’t even whistle; it’s awesome.
It’s a good looking teapot.
It is a little weird that you have to close the top lid manually (you can’t do it with the handle button).
It is loud when it’s boiling.
Over all, we are very satisfied, especially at this price!

Great big electric kettle with no plastic
Very happy with finally finding tea kettle with no plastic coming in contact with the boiling water or the steam. It has great performance, looks great and the double walls are an added benefit.
Edit: The kettle had a piece of bottom plastic melting, but the company was prompt at replacing the kettle, so I am keeping 5 stars.

Can someone be IN LOVE with a tea kettle? Probably not. But I do LOVE IT! I spent such a long time searching for a tea kettle that was electric, non-plastic, and where plastic didn’t touch the water. I needed hot water quickly and in a completely stainless steel container. For the price, this one could not be beat. It isn’t a small container, on the outside it stands about 9 1/2 inches tall and 6 1/2 inches wide. The minimum capacity is 2 cups the maximum capacity is 6 cups to the MAX fill line. It is well insulated. When you press down on the on switch it lights up while brewing and pops up when done. The light also goes off when done brewing. It seems pretty fast too. Great value for all stainless steel inner pot.

Real nice kettle! We use it every day along with our french press. Inside is ss lined and the lid opens all the way. Also the outside does not get hot.
